Philadelphia:   June 8.  Wednesday last being the first day
of June, when the act for blocking up the harbour of Boston
took affect, most of the inhabitants of this city, to
express their sympathy for their brethren suffering in the
common cause, shut up their houses and shops; the bells of
Christ's church were muffled, and rang a solemn peal. . .
